DRIQ

DRIQ is an add-on module that automates and optimizes the building’s response to DR events. DR signals are incorporated into the BuildingIQ optimization parameters and tailored to the building’s thermal model, the forecast weather conditions, and the applicable DR structure and tariffs. This Optimized Demand Response capability allows building owners and operators to:

  • take advantage of demand response incentives while minimizing the impact on tenant comfort
  • reduce exposure to and impact of peak day pricing penalties
  • automatically tailor the energy optimization plan to comply with the DR event
  • confirm the precise capacity of load shedding available based on the building’s thermal capacity and the anticipated conditions for the day
  • dynamically adapt the energy plan and load shedding throughout the day based on changing conditions inside and outside the building
  • estimate and have real-time visibility into actual load shedding vs. target
    project and assess real-time impact of response on tenant comfort
